Helping communities in need in the Philippines

In Sept 2015 Steven departed Sydney for the Philippines with his wife and 3 Children for his annual family holiday, with a difference.

Steve and family arrived at Betania Retreat House, located on a hillside providing a scenic view of Cebu City, equipped with facilities that are conducive for prayer and solitude.

Steven Turk is a spiritual man and a committee member of Friends of the Poor & Queen of the most Holy Rosary in Sydney and he and his family participated in a 2 week community service retreat working with nuns supporting orphaned children and farmers of the local village during this time.

His next overseas community service project will be in East Timor and is currently being planned.
